The Vicente Guerrero Dam is located 54 km to the northeast of Ciudad Victoria by the federal highway 101 in the State of Tamulipas in Mexico.

The ruins of the City of Padilla are found under the water of the Vicente Guerrero dam; at the surroundings are vast woods and good tourist services.

The Vicente Guerrero dam area has acquired enormous prestige among the sports fishermen and hunters of ducks and ganders (from November to February).
