Emiliano Zapata is located 140 km from Villahermosa in the State of Tabasco via federal highway 186 in Mexico.

Emiliano Zapata has facilities for practicing angling, sailing and aquatic ski. The Usumacinta Marathon is
celebrated in May.

In front of the Nueva Esperanza Lagoon, there is a Parador with a restaurant. You can also visit the Emiliano Zapata Museum.
