Intro
La Sierra is a region formed by rivers, mountains, tropical woods, streams
and lagoons. It has an extensive and varied fauna. Also, you will find
caves or caverns for practicing speleology, rappel or adventure tourism.
The Cocona Caves a Natural Monument
These exotic and natural caverns offer spectacular and natural formations
to the tourist. Cocona has a sound and lights show. The route has 500 mts
with paths in order to make the access easier to the tourist.

"Las
Canicas" Cave
Spectacular caverns full of little and rounded stones like spheres. They
are made of calcite. To visit it you need to have special equipment and to
contact a
specialized guide.
The Puyacantengo
river natural resort
It is one of the 3 most important rivers in the Teapa municipality. Teapa
surroundings offer a nice landscape formed by the thick jungle’s
vegetation. Also, you can enjoy the wonderful view made by the river flows
and the hills which form a natural barrier. Along the riverside, there are
many tourist centers where you can taste typical dishes or take a
refreshing bath.

Tapijulapa
One of most beautiful and picturesque town in Tabasco, It is located
between two rivers. Oxolotan and Amatan. Craftsmen work with wood and
osier to elaborate furniture and decorative objects.
Villa Luz and the Tomas Garrido Canabal House
At 3km of
Tapijulapa, you can find this mystical, magic and enigmatic place with
waterfalls, bathing resorts of sulfur water, caves and lush vegetation
that belongs to the "Zoques" and at the same time, you have the
opportunity to visit the house-museum of Tomas Garrido Canabal,
ex-governor of Tabasco. You will see archeological pieces, typical
handcrafts and general information about Zoques.

that in chol language means "The Greatness of Water". This marvel of
nature has a wonderful group of waterfalls of 200 meters of height with a
botanical garden and many paths where tourist can practice some ecotourism
and adventure activities such as canopy, mountain biking, speleology,
rafting, rappel, photo safaris, camping and so on.
The Cave of the
blind Sardine
Located in Villaluz, this cave is too much important for the geologists
and biologists because of its sulfur formations and the rare blind fish
and many species of insects that live there. In this place, during the
Holy week, people celebrate one of the most important, traditional and
pre-Hispanic dances. "The Blind Sardine Fishing", dedicated to Chac, the
Mayan Rain God.
The Oxolotan
River
A majestic river that flows down from the mountain range. It is excellent
for swimming and it is good for extreme activities, for example, you can
practice rafting during the rainy season.
Yu-Balcah
An ecological reserve where visitors walk into the jungle and observe many
sorts of species of animals in danger of extinction, for instance the
howler monkey,
the wildcat,
etc. This reserve has 8 kilometers of paths, with information hugs and a
restaurant that offers typical dishes. Also you can practice camping,
tracking, mountain biking, kayaking, canopy, rappel and observe the nature
too.

The Exconvent and
Museum of Oxolotan
In
Oxolotan, visitors can find the
only one colonial
heritage founded in 1633 by the Franciscans. The ex-convent has
interesting architectural details; there is the Oxolotan museum is one
side of the temple, the museum is formed by four rooms. Visitors can
observe some colonial pieces, oil-paintings and sculptures made of wood.

It is a natural protected area With 2,025 hectares of jungle flora and
fauna. There are beautiful and power
full waterfalls coming from a cave, the
water spills on the rocks and forms natural pools. Going up by the paths,
you will get to The "Ixta-Já" (Agua Blanca) caves, they are 1-3 level
caves with amazing dimensions. There are tracks with sound and light,
ideal for practicing speleology.

honor.
The Comalcalco Archeological
Site
The most unusual Mayan city in the Mesoamerican
world. Comalcalco was built at the end of the classical period with baked
clay bricks. There are three architectural groupings from the main area of
Comalcalco: The North Plaza, The Grand Acropolis and The East Acropolis.
Comalcalco archeological site has a local museum and next to it , there is
a coffee shop.

Intro:
With more than 300,000 hectares (approx. 740,
740.740 acres). The Centla Wetlands Biosphere Reserve, is the most
important of North America.
In this place is located the Interpretation Center
called “Uyoyot-Ja”, it means “The House of Water”. It is the entrance to
this exuberant ecosystem where you will discover the natural, economical
and social values. Also you will learn the international importance of
this ecosystem by interactive screens.
Uyotot-Ja has more than 523 species of vertebrates; the
most important are the stork, the crocodile, the sweet water tortoise, the
manatees and other species in danger of extinction.
The Centla wetlands Biosphere Reserve is rich in the
diversity of flowers. This richness has more than 500 species of blossoms;
that is the most important alive museum of aquatic plants in Mesoamerica
Tourist Journeys with specialized guides
NUEVA ESPERANZA
It offers an ideal midday journey, specially, to
ornithology lovers! It is an upper trip by the Usumacinta River until you
get to the place where you will make the first stop. There, you will
observe thousands of birds that arrive every year there. Birds stay from
December to April to gat fed and to reproduce the species. Tourists will
eat a typical dish as while they are resting in one of the natural

Punta Manglar Ecotourist Reserve Ideal place for
practicing activities related to flora and fauna observation in order to
learn about the nature in this region. Tourists can complete a great boat
ride through the mangrove swamp or a walk by an interpretative path with a
specialized guide. “Punta Manglar” offers restaurant service, rustic huts
for resting in a small island where people can do recreational activities
