Navojoa is located 330 km to the south of Hermosillo via federal highway 15 in the State of Sonora, Mexico.

Navojoa is an important agricultural center as well as the principal settlement of the Mayo Indians.

Among Navojoa interesting places are the Hacienda Siquisiva and the Pueblo Viejo.
