Alamos is a colonial city situated 53 km to the east of Navojoa in the State of Sonora, Mexico.

Alamos was founded in the XVII century.

 Among its main attractions are:

• The Purisima Concepcion Parish, built in the XVIII century, with a baroque-style facade

• The Chapel, built in the XIX century, which has a choir made of wood

• The Municipal Palace

• The Plaza de Armas with its kiosk

• The Los Portales Hotel, which was built in the last century

• The Antique Hospital

• The Old Government Palace

Local artisans of Alamos sell handicrafts made of wood, palm leaf,
brass and glass.
