Ixtapa
 

Ixtapa, is located 10 km (6 mi) west of Zihuatanejo in the State of Guixtapa, guerrero, mexicoerrero, Mexico by the same highway.

Ixtapa is a modern resort development, also known in Mexico as El Dorado Pacifico (Golden Pacific) because of its beautiful beaches emerging from the jungle or from the cliffs forming coves, inlets and small bays.

Being a natural park and ecological reserve, Ixtapa is a place which is inhabited by wild birds and many other species.

Among Ixtapa main beaches are:

  • La Quieta

  • La Hermosa

  • Don Juan

  • Don Rodriguez

  • Las Cuartas

  • La Bahia del Palmar

Ten kilometers from the Bahia del Palmar beach and towards Playa Quieta, there is a lagoon with precious fauna and flora.

In addition, between the Cuota and Casa Blanca beaches, a mirador is located where you can enjoy a splendid view of small islands, cliffs rocks and piers.
