Toluca

Toluca is the capital city of the State of Estado de Mexico and is situated 60 km from Mexico City by the federal highway 15.

Among its main attractions are:

• The Plaza Civica de los Martires,

• The Portals, built between 1832 and 1979, considered as the country's largest

• The Parish of the Third Order

• The Cathedral, built in the XIX century

• The Rectory of the University

• The Cosmovitral, a work of Leopoldo Flores in which interior is found the Botanical Garden,

• The Fine Arts Museum

• The Charreria Museum

• The Handicrafts House Casart

• The Natural Sciences Museum, located in the Matlatzinca Park of El Cerro del Calvario

• The spectacular Paseo Tollocan with its Tolotzin Door

• The Numismatics Museum

• The Stamp Museum, located in the Garden of Art where you can see engravings from the XVI to XIX centuries

• The House of the Culture, with expositions of painters of the State and Cultural events are held

• The Concerts Hall Felipe Villanueva

• The University City with some interesting murals and a mirador

• The Centro Cultural Mexiquense, located 5 km west of the City in the Ex-Hacienda La Pila, which houses the Modern Art

• The Popular Cultures and Anthropology and History Museums and a Public Library
