.Atlacomulco is situated 113 km from Mexico City via federal highways 15 and 55
in the State of Estado de Mexico, Mexico.

Among Atlacomulco main attractions are:

• The Cultural Center Isidro Fabela, with a newspaper library

• The Temple of El Señor del Huerto, located in the downtown area and  built in pink quarry stone, where there are some interesting retable

Only 13km from Atlacomulco on the state highway 5 we reach the Trinidad Fabela Dam, where you can hire a boat which takes you to the Isla de las Aves (Island of Birds), a place considered as an ecological refuge since it is inhabited by a number of different bird species and it is located in Timilpan.

Coming back by the same highway and 15 km. farther you get to Ocotal Natural Park where there are areas for camping and horses for hiring. It has also a hotel and a restaurant. This is located in Timilpan too.
