.Acolman town is situated 40km from Mexico City via federal highway 132D in the State of Mexico, Mexico. The Acolman main attraction is the Plateresque-style Convent of Acolman with its magnificent facade from the XV century. In its interior there are golden retables. There is also a cloister with interesting murals. It is open to the public as a museum where some Plateresque-style paintings, sculptures and goldsmithery are shown.
